Hospital Services – Report 1

The Hospital Services Survey part 1 consisted of 10 core questions. There was a mixture between multiple choice questions and open text for subjective comments and opinions. The structure of the survey is mirrored within the report discussion through a breakdown of headlines that each relate to the respective survey questions.

Virtual Visit to the Royal Stoke University Hospital Fracture Clinic

Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus Pandemic and the former suspension of the Enter and View Programme, Healthwatch Stoke-on-Trent took the opportunity to pilot a series of virtual visits to ensure that public conversations, experiences and concerns can continually be shared with their local Healthwatch.
Our Virtual Visit Programme was designed to gain perspective on respective health and social care services by providing an anonymous opportunity for service users, staff and managers or patients to talk about their experiences centred on the planning and delivery of the related service.

Access to Primary Care and Digital Exclusion

The HWE project was a follow up project after an online survey was undertaken about access to primary care at the start of the pandemic. The initial survey found that people were generally happy accessing their GP remotely, but as a survey that was online it potentially did not reach people who were actually digitally excluded and struggling to access primary care.

Virtual Visit with Healthwatch Stoke Invite to Care Homes

We would like to invite Care Homes in Stoke-on-Trent to work with Healthwatch Stoke-on-Trent on our Virtual Visit Programme. Due to the cautious restoration of the national Enter and View Programme we are continuing to conduct our visits virtually to ease pressure on services and to ensure that we help to keep everyone as safe as possible.
