Living with Long-term Conditions Report

We spoke to 197 people in Stoke-on-Trent who are living with a long-term condition(s) to find out more about their experiences.

In early 2022, we asked people of Stoke-on-Trent about what matters to them, to help determine our next annual priority. Through this we found 82% of people were concerned about people who are living with long-term conditions, making this the top concern of all respondents.

Healthwatch Stoke-on-Trent then formed a couple of public surveys to find out more from those living with long-term conditions and their experiences. Survey questions relate to getting diagnosed, self-management, professional support and any hospital experience.

This report features a background of why the survey was produced, shared key findings from the 197 responses to the survey, and concludes with recommendations for local services as a result of our findings and a response from The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board.
