World Alzheimer's Month 2022

Each September is a global opportunity to raise awareness, educate, support and to challenge the stigma surrounding Alzheimer's disease and all the types of dementia.

This years World Alzheimer's Month campaign continues with 'Know dementia, Know Alzheimer's' and has a special focus on post-diagnosis support. It is intended to follow on from the 2021 campaign, which focused on the signs of dementia and the path to receiving a diagnosis for Alzheimer's disease or dementia.

There are many ways you can get involved during World Alzheimer's Month.

How about registering to volunteer or even participating at a local Memory Walk?
A Memory Walk is a family-friendly sponsored walk that is free to sign up and open to all, so you can unite against dementia with friends, family and the people of Stoke-on-Trent.

Join the Stoke-on-Trent Memory Walk on Sunday 18th September, from 10:00AM at Westport Lake.

You could spread awareness online, from the comfort of your home by posting on your social media platform using one of these many hashtags: #WorldAlzheimersMonth #WorldAlzheimersDay #WorldAlzMonth #KnowDementia #KnowAlzheimers
